Tucson grannies continue their protests

The New Yorker magazine had a letter to the editor this week.
Hanna Rosin's story on Patrick Henry College and its ardently conservative student body leaves a memorable impression of dorm-room walls plastered with Bush-Cheney posters ("God and Country, June 27th). But why aren't all these true believers enlisting to fight in Iraq, in a war launched and directed by their heroes? While thousands of their generational peers, many non-supporter of this Administration among them, are in Iraq as a result of our "poverty" draft, the Patrick Henry students have eyes only for well -paid jobs in the White House and the Republican Party apparatus. There is an irony here that probably bypases the students who blindly adore Dick Cheney. One supposes that, like Cheney during the Vietnam War, they "had other priorities."TO READ MORE CLICK HERE
